Anna loves cooking, sports, and writing poetry. She is also extremely passionate about using her 9 years of lived experience in care to advocate for a better child welfare system. So much so, she’s interested in developing a non-profit focused on youth advocacy. Anna became interested in this work when at 15 years old, she attended Missouri’s State Youth Advisory Board and Child Advocacy Day. It was an opportunity to make a difference for youth across the state who have lived experience of being in foster care. Through her work with Fosterclub, Anna hopes to become more connected nationally as a successful advocate for youth with lived experience across the United States. In addition to her work with FosterClub, she has served on the Missouri State Youth Advisory Board, Youth Congress, Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program Youth Board, and Children & Family Service Reviews.
