Brianna is passionate about foster care reform and the intersectionality of social justice. She is currently the Chief of Staff at 80 Acres, a nonprofit rooted in offering a variety of programming and advocacy tools to support the organization’s mission of Black Liberation. Brianna was mostly recently recognized by the Massachusetts House of Representatives for her innovative leadership as Co-Chair of the Community Safety Working Group where she co-created Massachusetts first alternate to policing centered around anti-racism and trauma informed care. Brianna holds a BA in Legal Studies from the University of Massachusetts Amherst where she was awarded a campus wide Social Justice Award in 2019 in appreciation for her ability to create space that promotes inclusivity. She also holds two masters certificates in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace and Nonprofit Management. Brianna is a member of the FosterClub board, an active member of the Massachusetts League of Women’s Voters, and the Amherst Chapter of the League of Women’s Voters Racial Justice Task Force.
